The Nike Air Max 1 Royal Game Royal follows on from the success of two earlier models for 2016 which came in a tan or black colourway. Showcasing a first for the AM1 silhouette, this style quickly became known as the ‘deconstructed’ model. As such, it gives a high fashion look to an iconic sneak. Those previous pairs may have almost sold out, but now we have this bold colourway to look forward to.
The contemporary transformation starts with overlapping synthetic suede to the upper. It looks almost hand-crafted, something you may expect to see on the side-walks of Milan. Other features compliment this premium look such as the tan coloured leather sockliner around the ankle and debossed Swoosh.
adidas may have strayed from their roots, but they haven’t done without all of the AM features. After all, we have the signature Air Unit in the heel. It’s a subtle reminder of the footwear legacy which has paved the way for luxurious renditions like this.
