When we first laid our eyes on the Nike Air Max 200 Gold Red, we fell in love with it pretty much immediately. Regarded by the sneaker community as one of the hottest new Swoosh silhouettes of 2019, it’s an amalgamation of the Air Max 270 and the Air Max 270 React, with some Air Max 720 DNA sprinkled here and there.
Painted in a luxe gold colourway with black and red accents also making an appearance, unbeknownst to many, the Air Max 200 Gold Red is the successor to 1991’s legendary Air Max 180 which was the first Swoosh shoe to utilise a visible Air unit. While it might not look like it at first, upon further inspection you’ll find that they have the same midsole. That being said, the upper has been entirely transformed, opting for a no sew one that was made popular by the aforementioned AM270R. To round it all off, Swoosh logos hits the lateral and medial side panels, while the tongue is adorned with “AM200” branding, with the “00” stylised as an infinity symbol. Scheduled to drop on august 29th, the Nike Air Max 200 Gold Red is the best £110 that you’ll spend this year, so make sure you cop when it hit Nike and Foot Locker UK at the end of the month!Read more
