Concepts creative director Deon Point reveals an out-of-this-world hybrid sneaker merging Air Max classics from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Combining the Air Max 93’s midsole tooling with the AM1’s upper, fusion models are nothing new for the Beaverton sportswear giant, with Sean Wotherspoon’s 1/97 collaboration being one of the most notable styles. Drawing inspiration from outer space, this Concepts x Nike Air Max 93/1 “Black Green” offers a futuristic design with never-before-seen details.
Mimicking the night sky, this rendition boasts a blacked-out upper with stunning white speckles resembling stars. Colour-changing Swooshes decorate the sidewalls, whilst the mini Swoosh on the lateral forefoot features an elongated line similar to a comet’s tail. The polyurethane foam midsole carries a vibrant green Max Air bubble in the heel for responsive cushioning, propped up by a green glow-in-the-dark rubber outsole to let you stand out.
