Boston-based retailer Concepts unveils the Air Max 93/1 “Black Orange”, a hybrid model merging the AM1’s upper with the AM93’s midsole. Showcased by CNCPTS creative director Deon Point, this hybrid sneaker celebrates the timeless styles of two iconic Air Max shoes by Tinker Hatfield. The theme pays homage to outer space, forming an eye-popping makeover from heel to toe.
Engulfed in a pitch-black shade, this Air Max 93/1 rendition features stunning white speckles replicating stars in the night sky. The colour-changing Swoosh on the sidewalls produces a sun-inspired graphic which transforms into a supernova. Inspired by a comet, the silver mini Swoosh on the lateral forefoot area flaunts a long tail that extends towards the foxing, embracing the cosmic aesthetic further. A vibrant orange hue envelops the Max Air unit in the rear, complementing the semi-translucent glow-in-the-dark outsole.
