Slam Jam x Nike Air Max 97 Black

"Nike and Italian boutique Slam Jam strip the Air Max 97 back to a near-total black palette for the Slam Jam x Nike Air Max 97 Black, arriving in the ""Black"" colourway on 3 November 2026. Instead of leaning on colour, the upper builds depth through texture, with cracked leather wrapping the mudguard while a tumbled, grained material shows through the side cutouts. Silver enters through the Slam Jam co-branding tag, and white circular markings on the cushioning windows supply the only other contrast against the tonal base.

In place of the usual embroidered logo, a small metal Swoosh sits within the side panel, a hardware swap that gives the 1997 runner a sharper focal point. Underneath, the full-length visible Air Max unit takes on a darker, slightly granular finish that keeps the sole unit in step with the upper. That restrained palette works with tailored trousers for evening events or slots into relaxed streetwear layers. Timed ahead of the model's 30th anniversary in 2027, this limited release lands through Slam Jam and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
