Who else is hyped for the Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 Safari Black? This latest addition to the newly-released range sees a dark colourway and unique print. It follows on from earlier models for the Mercurial R9 collection which released earlier this year.
The silhouette was designed as a hybrid cross between the hugely popular football boot and an Air Max. As such, we get the best of both worlds: the iconic style of Ronaldo’s football boot of choice and the sleek cushioning of Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max. It couldn’t be a more perfect combination.
As with many darker colourways, this is expected to be one of the Mercurial R9’s most popular release. The eye-catching Hyperfused stripes across the upper feature the safari print which has made an appearance on many of Nike’s popular silhouettes for 2016.
To compliment, a black midsole sits underfoot and features a tonal coloured midsole. Of course, this design wouldn’t be complete without the visible Air Unit in the heel. It’s another subtle reminder of its Air Max origins.
The Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 Safari Black is scheduled to release on Monday 27th June via the retailers on the right hand side.
