Take a look at the Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 Safari Grey. Releasing in a two part collection, this silhouette arrives alongside a black colourway. Unlike that design, this pair takes on a lighter shade which really emphasises that safari print across the upper. What do you think of this colourway? Is it a worthy addition to this newly designed range?
The Mercurial R9 will forever be remembered as a great football boot. It was worn on the feet of Brazilian striker Ronaldo and quickly generated a fan following with those who wanted to replicate that skill on the pitch. In one of Nike’s boldest moves for 2016, the brand chose to combine this iconic silhouette with the lower half of an Air Max. This effectively re-engineered a classic football boot for the streets. Although it can be worn for urban football, it looks just as good with a pair of jeans or shorts.
This edition stays true to that original design with those Hyperfused stripes across the upper. With complimenting shades of Grey, the addition of that black safari print is guaranteed to impress. 3M reflective detailing keeps the pair lit up during the evening and the visible Air Unit underfoot provides the cushioning. To complete the design, a vibrant blue Swoosh comes emblazoned to the sidewall.
The Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 Safari Grey is scheduled to release on Friday 24th June via the retailers on the right hand side. Be sure to download The Sole Supplier app for more updates on upcoming Air Max Mercurial designs.
