The Nike Air Max Penny 1 Pure Platinum are a ‘colourless’ take on a Nike favourite. This Pure Platinum iteration is made using smooth white leather panels that are arranged dynamically across the upper. Platinum-grey enters via the panelling, too, creating depth and interest. The chunky midsole blends into the upper via the rubber-framed Swoosh motif on the medial sides. Meanwhile, the tubular lace-up fastening is held in place via knitted tabs that correspond with the exaggerated pull tabs at the heels. The most unusual feature? The collars. They curve upward before notching down at the heels.
