Nike Air Max Scorpion Triple Black Womens

Having birthed the Air Max Scorpion in the Autumn of 22, the Swoosh follows its usual rollout of colourways, this time in “Triple Black”. Dropping as a Women’s exclusive, this new colourway of the silhouette adopts a simpler all-black colourway that’s easier to rock. It’s only a matter of time before this latest addition to the Air Max line makes its way onto the feet of your local Nike head and with this new colourway for the ladies, that process has just been massively sped up!

The Air Max Scorpion Black embraces the maxed-out, chunky midsole that is huge within the current footwear scene. Taking hints from high-end brands such as the Balenciaga Triple S and Versace Chain Reaction, Nike revisited its Vapormax line with a more aggressive approach. The Swoosh has also looked in-house at more recent models such as the Air Max 720 from 2019 and the ISPA Road Warrior from 2020 which saw the midsole use this ‘double stack’ feature, albeit with Zoom units instead of Air. This new silhouette saw a speedy 18-month development stage thanks to the virtual design progressions at Nike which allowed the top designers to collaborate together through the lockdown restrictions.

The blacked-out and newly developed Flyknit chenille upper provides a balance to the aggressive midsole below via its sleek silhouette. The branding on the shoe is understated, with two dark grey swooshes being weaved into the Flyknit upper and a mini-Swoosh on the heel portion of the midsole.
