The University of Florida Gators joins the likes of the “Michigan”, “Oregon”, and “Michigan State” colourways in the roster. This Nike Air Max SYSTM “Florida” honours the Gators logo and the university’s year of establishment.
The Nike Air Max SYSTM is a new lifestyle silhouette with design elements of the iconic Air Max 1. Constructed in airy mesh, the Air Max SYSTM features a suede mudguard inspired by the AM1 . Thin TPU overlays cover the sides, while leather reinforces the eyestay and heel panel. More notable design features borrowed from the Air Max 1 include the plastic lace hole and the waffle sole. The thick foam midsole has a TPU frame on the heel, surrounding the upper part of the Air unit for a well-balanced mix of cushioning and support.
This colourway features an orange mesh upper with a black suede mudguard. Blue accents adorn the TPU overlays, tongue, lining and outsole. Florida Gators logos comprise the tongue, while an embroidered “1853” label adorns the heel as a nod to the University of Florida’s year of foundation.
