Hailing from an era where basketball shoes were diverse and unique, the Nike Air More Uptempo stood out among the brand's basketball offerings. Taking advantage of the silhouette’s bulky design language and eye-catching banner, this kids’ exclusive “What The” edition displays a mismatched aesthetic highlighted by multicolour panels.
Before earning his official signature sneaker line, NBA legend and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen rocked an assortment of Nike basketball models, including the Air More Uptempo. Reintroduced to the next generation, this “What The” colourway celebrates the silhouette’s ‘90s heritage. The shoe has a clean white perforated leather base, accented with gold and red embroidered Swooshes on the left and right toe boxes, respectively. The silhouette’s signature “AIR” branding and nylon tongue loops flaunt a variety of pigments, with the right shoe dominated by nature-inspired hues of green, orange, and red. Meanwhile, Easter-themed pastels of purple, pink, yellow, and light blue dominate the left pair. The visible Nike Air unit in the heel flaunts alternating yellow and blue pigments. Two shades of blue form the rubber sole to complete the vibrant ensemble of this '96 icon.
Dropping alongside a kids’ exclusive Nike Dunk and Air Force 1 Low, the “What The” collection exudes a playful take on these icons. Find out how to get your hands on the Nike Air More Uptempo GS “What The” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier and downloading our App!
