COMME des GARCONS Homme Plus x Nike Air Pegasus 2005 Black

With the first half of 2023 underway, the team over at COMME des GARCONS reveals Nike’s Air Pegasus 2005 as the next silhouette for its collaborative effort. Typical of CdG’s style, the fashion label strips back the shoe’s techy runner aesthetic and drapes the two in a monochromatic finish. Similar to the CdG x Nike Air Sunder Max editions, the “Black” iteration is sure to reignite the enthusiasm for the 2000s runner, implying its possible return in the near future.

Foregoing the complex web panels and side wall venting, CdG opts for a less eventful upper. Rooted in the silhouette’s DNA is the heavy mesh, a distinct feature that swarmed the running shoe scene from the late ‘90s to the early ‘00s. Marking the biggest change is the leather panel on the side wall, an addition that announces the pair’s premium tooling. Branding on the upper has remained untouched, with the insole being the only evidence of CdG’s presence. We expect these to be very cosy considering the Air Pegasus 2005’s original sporting purpose, which in combination with the all-black theme, makes these extremely versatile.
