Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 Fossil

Drawing out its toolkit, Stüssy brushes away the remnants to reveal another strong collaborative effort with Nike. The duo have already dropped a “Black” and “Green” edition of the Air Max Penny 2, both of which were well received by sneakerhead audiences. Now this third edition leans back on the brand’s fail-proof beige hues, with this “Fossil” colourway an echo of past releases such as the Air Max 2013 and Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2.

From top to bottom, the shoe is wrapped in a monochromatic beige. The Air unit and carbon foot plate have also been painted over, veering away from the Air Penny 2’s basketball-heavy aesthetic that have these looking like the windswept sand dunes of a desert. Above, the same rough canvas material that we’ve seen on other “Fossil” editions forms the upper’s construction, a feature now eagerly anticipated on Stüssy x Nike collaborations. The thick rope laces and pull tabs also promote the shoe’s rustic feel, while the tread underfoot ensures you can hit a quick euro step if needed.
