TOMO KOIZUMI x Nike Air Superfly Black Photo Blue

Tokyo-based fashion designer TOMO KOIZUMI teams up with Nike for a hyper-feminine reinterpretation of the Air Superfly racing shoe. Taking advantage of the flat-soled sneaker trend, the early 2000s running trainer has been getting the spotlight since its return to the Beaverton sportswear brand’s Sportswear catalogue. This limited-edition TOMO KOIZUMI x Nike Air Superfly “Black Photo Blue” draws influences from Japanese manga and elite female athletes, turning the old-school model into a wearable piece of art that empowers women.

This haute couture-inspired colourway flaunts a lenticular upper that produces a captivating colour-changing effect from every angle. The blacked-out suede toe and eyestay reinforce the model’s low-profile aesthetic, while the perforations keep the Superfly lightweight and breathable. The six interchangeable Swooshes, two of which appear with ruffle textures, align with TOMO’s vibrant design ethos. Multiple lace options allow you to replace the default black ribbon laces and personalise your pair according to your mood or style. A mini Swoosh logo adorns the tongue, complementing the co-branding on the insole. The soft foam midsole encases a Nike Air unit for plush comfort and impact absorption. Below, a multicoloured outsole delivers the finishing touches to this stunning rendition. This silhouette arrives in a special-edition package with charming ruffle graphics on the colourful wrapping papers.
