In terms of the Swoosh’s flagship sneaker, the Nike Air VaporMax FlyKnit Gaiter ISPA Black Blue has got to be their most unique AVM yet. While the silhouette itself is the perfect balance between versatility, breathability, and comfort, it has got one major flaw in that it’s absolutely useless in the rain, and that’s where this release comes in!
Releasing as part of the ‘Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt’ line for the first time ever, the Air VaporMax FlyKnit Gaiter ISPA Black Blue features a full Flyknit upper for a comfortable sock like fit, as well as the signature full length Air VaporMax midsole that’s been blowing minds since its debut in 2017. With that said, this release also comes with a high cut shroud that takes design cues from cycling spats.
Painted in a stealthy black with silver detailing throughout for a futuristic vibe, a zip runs across the entire front of the shoe for an easy slip on and slip off experience. A pixelated Swoosh shoots across the lateral panel, while “Nike” branding is embossed around the collar. Crafted from a waterproof material, this is made to tackle the elements during the wet and windy months ahead.
The shroud actually works with any Air VaporMax model, so if you want to use it for another shoe, by all means! Available now, the Nike Air VaporMax FlyKnit Gaiter ISPA Black Blue might not be for everyone, but it’s worth a look!
