Nike SB x April Skateboards Dunk Low Pro Racer Blue

Co-founder of the April Skateboards Shane O’Neill is linking up with the Nike SB to deliver a top-tier edition of the SB Dunk Low. Although O'Neill has already worked with the Nike SB team before, releasing the Shane SB in April of '21, it will be the first collaboration for his company. Now looking to establish what could be a long-time partnership with the Swoosh, April Skateboards' O’Neill teams up on the Dunk Low for the first time. There are high hopes for the November 2023 release given that the Australian skateboarder has had an extensive history in the sport, leading skaters and footwear aficionados hyped for the April Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low "Racer Blue".

A number of interesting design choices on this iteration reveal April Skateboards is taking full opportunity to stamp its name onto the wall of SB Dunk releases. Boasting a turbo green shade across the suede paneling, similar to what we saw on the Air Jordan 1 High “Turbo Green” is the contrasting tone selected for the upper, with echoes of a reverse Diamond Dunk colourway. A metallic Swoosh matches the silver branding on the rear and outer heel, the label name written out in its simple font. Underfoot, an icy outsole matches the cold tones of the upper, a feature not normally seen on an SB Dunk Low when compared to the standard padded tongue and Zoom unit in the sole.

Hidden behind the icy translucent outsole lies custom rose art, adding more detail to this already-exciting April Dunk. This April Skateboards Dunk will be part of the new SB sail box era, with a selection of spare laces expected inside.
