Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High Duck
Just in time to release a Thanksgiving-themed shoe using a silhouette that is an absolute fan-favourite right now, the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High will be releasing this week in collaboration with Boston boutique Concepts.
The skate shop emerged in 1996 and have been working closely with Nike over the years releasing excessively-themed SB dunks that you normally wouldn't see on a shoe such as the Green Lobster that released two years ago. First look at Concept's new project for this holiday season is a Mallard duck-themed SB Dunk High.
Concepts creative director Deon Point delivers this Thanksgiving sneaker fresh out the oven that completely resembles a roasted duck. Earthy tones warmly wrap the entire silhouette with a mixture of different materials, a sock liner that matches the feathers on the quarter panels and a roasted brown suede colorway is a nod to say this is an entire Thanksgiving feast. The iridescent tongue and Nike's iconic swoosh that shoots across the lateral side panels can be characterised as a duck's head basking in fresh lake water while the peach hues on the midsole and outsole represent as a duck's webbed feet.
Concepts' signature is an absolute must on this SB therefore, Nike playfully replaces the tongue tag that usually reads "Dunk High Pro" to "Nike Duck Pro" instead. Finalising the design is Concepts' logo embossed on the reverse side of the tongue tag.
The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High Turdunken is scheduled to drop at select skate retailers on 21 November so prepare your wrapping paper and keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier if this festive sneaker is for you!
