Nike’s Peter Moore-designed b-ball shoe that first came out in 1985 and remains popular today, the Dunk, has a new variation with a bumblebee aesthetic. Take a closer look at the Nike Dunk High Satin “Goldenrod”.
This Dunk High takes inspiration from the University of Iowa's signature golden yellow and black colour scheme. The upper of this shoe replaces the usual leather construction with a glossy, satin fabric. The base layer is a jet-black hue jet-black base while the overlays on the toe cap, mudguard, eye stay panels and foxing are in the titular bright goldenrod yellow shade. The signature profile Swooshes reference the late 80s with a luxe leather texture, matching the branding on the mesh tongues and mesh insoles. A bright white midsole and a goldenrod yellow rubber outsole wrap up the design of this shoe.
