Nike Dunk Low Year of the Rabbit Brown

Nike has gone full steam ahead with the Year of the Rabbit theme, taking its Dunk Low silhouette in a number of Rabbit-themed directions. Unlike the rest of the pastel-themed editions of the Year of the Rabbit collection, this Dunk takes inspiration from the brighter elements of the CNY tradition. Regardless, this release looks premium in its approach, mixing up suedes, leathers and furs that give us a quality version of the Nike Dunk Low.

A soft red suede contrasts the overlaying brown leather panelling, creating a clash of colours that works surprisingly well. The Swoosh and tongue label adopts the faux-fur elements that were so distinct on the other editions of the YOTR pack, this time dousing it in a dark burgundy to match. On the ankle collar, an orange suede draws further attention to the jade “Nike” spell-out embroidered on the heel. Debossed into the leather back panel is a white rabbit, the most obvious reference to the CNY animal. Rounding off the shoe is the red dubrae and semi-translucent outsole, adding another element and overall special feel to this Dunk.
