Nike SB Dunk High Sweet Tooth

Nike’s annual tradition of introducing Halloween-themed sneaker collections continues in 2023. However, Nike SB departs from the usual spooky motifs and opts for a candy-inspired makeover that even kids will appreciate. The Nike SB Dunk High “Sweet Tooth” pays homage to candy corn, replicating the famed Halloween candy’s vibrant, warm colours throughout the upper. This colourway is not the first Nike SB Dunk to take inspiration from candies, as the brand launched the SB Dunk Low “Candy Cane” in 2015 to celebrate Christmas Day. Unlike other pairs in the Nike Halloween 2023 collection, this colourway raises the bar with its playful design inspired by candy corn. The shoe has a smooth leather base featuring white, orange, and yellow gradient details. This colour blocking resembles the limited-edition Nike SB Dunk Low “Raygun Home” from 2005, minus the gradient effect. Swooshes on the sides blend with the colourful upper, while debossed details on the forefoot of the right pair represent a bite mark, adding an extra bit of uniqueness to the shoe.

Elsewhere, an embroidered candy corn detail adorns the tongue, opposite the sweet tooth symbol on the interior. Warning signs accompanied by black and yellow stripes decorate the inner wings with a caution stating: “Do not take candy from strangers”. Candy corn graphic prints fill the sockliner, living up to its “Sweet Tooth” appellation. A contrasting black rubber outsole wraps up the vibrant makeover of this tasty skate shoe.
