The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low Bubbles

The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB unite forces in time for the holiday season with a three-shoe collaboration. Arguably the most wearable out of the pack, this Powerpuff x Nike SB Dunk Low “Bubbles” edition is just as beautifully executed as the other two iterations, making your choice that much harder. Thanks to Nike’s SB division, showing off your love for the Cartoon Network Series has never been easier, so now you can introduce a nostalgic hit into your life each time you lace up these Powerpuff Girls Dunks.

Boasting a bold shade of blue across the cracked leather upper, the silhouette is packed with all the extra cute detailing you could ask for. The shimmery upper is dotted with glossy sparkles that catch the light, a nod to the sugar used in the laboratory to create Bubbles herself. This sweet ingredient is also woven onto the inner tongue where a cartoon sugar emblem adds another playful point of storytelling. Contrasting the blue SB Dunk outer is a yellow Swoosh cut from smooth leather, an element which draws on the series stylised aesthetic. Like all of the best Nikes, the outsole underfoot is iced out, accompanied by a graphic sock liner that is covered in combat noise lettering and the Powerpuff’s arch nemesis, Mojo Jojo. As with other SB Dunk Lows, this Bubble’s Nike SB has a Zoom unit embedded into the insole, adding extra comfort and cushioning. However, the series Chemical X is printed onto the unit in a white graphic that depicts a broken jar of the highly potent substance, indicating the attention to detail yet again.

Embroidered onto the heel tab are the character’s notoriously large eyes, which unique to this version, are looking in a downward direction. The Nike Powerpuff Girls “Bubbles” edition comes in the updated beige SB box, with an extra set of yellow laces packaged inside. Special edition wrapping reveals all three of the girls' faces in a large print, making the unboxing experience that much more special.
