The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low PS Bubbles

The renowned Powerpuff Girls series from Cartoon Network headlines a three-pack collaboration with Nike SB. Whether it’s for nostalgia or the visually stunning plethora of storytelling details, the Powerpuff Girls x SB Dunk collection deserves a rightful spot as one of the contenders for collab of the year. Shining the spotlight on the bubbly superhero hailing from the City of Townsville, the Powerpuff Girls SB Dunk Low PS “Bubbles” displays premium materials to form the titular character’s vibrant look.

This preschool-sized SB Dunk flaunts a predominantly blue colour scheme, crafted in a premium cracked leather upper with glossy textures spotted throughout. Yellow accents engulf the Swoosh and laces to mimic Bubbles’ hairstyle, juxtaposing the consistency of blue pigments. Black piping on the edges of the upper incorporates reflective elements, popping out when exposed to light. The heel panel serves as a backdrop for Bubbles’ enormous eyes, meticulously embroidered to perfect one of the most notable artistic styles of the Powerpuff Girls.

Co-branded logos decorate the outer tongue, while the inner portion conceals an animated sugar graphic representing one of three main ingredients Professor Utonium used to create the superpowered little girls. Gracing the sockliners is the show’s main antagonist, Mojo Jojo, fenced by assorted comic fight bubbles. The black midsole resembles the heroes’ outfits, while the blue semi-translucent rubber sole caps off Bubble’s luxe makeover.
