The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low Toddler Buttercup

The toughest and most headstrong Powerpuff Girl, Buttercup, takes the spotlight in this superpowered collaboration. Centred around Professor Utonium’s three little girls, each sneaker in the Powerpuff Girls x SB Dunk collection packs playful references and rich storytelling details to honour the 25th anniversary of the iconic Cartoon Network series. Oozing with Y2K nostalgia, the Powerpuff Girls SB Dunk Low Toddler “Buttercup” replicates the titular superhero’s signature aesthetics with a lush colour palette.

This iteration sports a green glossy leather upper with a vinyl-like texture. Black Swooshes, laces, and edges stay true to Buttercup’s recognisable appearance. Co-branded Nike SB x Powerpuff Girls branding adorns the tongue, while the interior showcases cartoon graphics of spices, one of three primary ingredients from Professor Utonium’s formula. Embroidered large eyes embellish the heel panel, while a frown on the left medial rear is a subtle take on Buttercup’s often rage-filled vibe. Co-branding expands further on the graphic sockliners, featuring the City of Townsville’s infamous villain, Mojo Jojo, surrounded by comic fight bubbles as a tribute to the Powerpuff Girls’ numerous conflicts with their arch-nemesis throughout the series. The all-black midsole and green semi-translucent outsole wrap up these special-edition kicks.
