Nike Basketball officially unveils its hugely limited “Black Label” collection as part of the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend. The capsule features the latest models of the brand’s signature basketball athletes, with each pair basing its quantity on the player’s birth year. Limited to 1,999 pairs, the Swarovski x Nike Ja 2 “Scratch Black Label” exudes subtle elegance through its stealthy colour scheme. This version is one of two Swarovski x Ja 2 colourways in the roster, a follow-up to the “Midnight” edition of Morant’s first model from ‘23.
Intended as a collector’s item rather than a performance shoe, this rendition arrives in a blacked-out mesh and suede upper. The crystal-infused scratch detail on the lateral panel nods to the Memphis Grizzlies. Elsewhere, fancy Swarovski crystals embellish the Swoosh on the medial sidewall and the Ja logo on the tongue, whilst the individually numbered “1 of 1999” label shows how exclusive these are. Reflective accents animate the mismatched “12:AM” on the heel panel, referencing the superstar guard’s jersey number and dedication to improving his game.
Additional branding decorates the sockliner and forefoot, ushering in more storytelling to the silhouette’s well-crafted aesthetic. The plush foam midsole houses a forefoot Air Zoom unit for responsive cushioning. Inspired by semi-trailer tyres, the rubber outsole ensures traction as you drive past every defender. This highly coveted sneaker includes a custom box and Swarovski-branded hangtags.
Releasing on the 14th of February via the Nike SNKRS app and select sportswear retailers, you can find out where to buy the Swarovski x Nike Ja 2 “Scratch Black Label” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
