Nike SB P-Rod 1 OG 2025 White Black

The Nike SB P-Rod 1 OG 2025 “White Black” marks the 20th anniversary of the debut signature shoe of professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez. Introduced in 2005 and first reissued in 2015, the P-Rod 1 is the first-ever signature model in the Nike SB catalogue, which played a pivotal role in helping the brand pioneer the skateboarding scene in the early 2000s.

This OG colourway boasts a clean white leather base with a perforated toe box and quilted “R” patterns on the rear. A black mesh Swoosh surrounds the sidewalls for contrast. Added for extra flair, a metallic silver accent highlights the topmost eyelet, “SHS” lace dubrae, and Nike branding on the puffy tongue and spine. The Zoom Air technology provides enhanced cushioning and impact protection when performing ollies and kickflips. A durable rubber cupsole sits underfoot to deliver optimal board feel and traction, propped up by a rigid midfoot shank plate for stability and arch support. Unlike the original version from 2005, the black outsole is swapped out for an icy sole, a small change that helps distinguish the two.

The chambrae which reads "SHS" across both feet is a reference to the super exclusive skate crew that Rodriguez started back in 2001. Members include Scuba Steve, Dan Abadi and Kevin Spankey Long who form three out of the four skaters which of course include P. Rod himself. Although David over at Bluetile has speculated that it stands for "Super Human Skateboarders", we will likely never know the true meaning.
