Nike continues the lasting legacy of the late Kobe Bryant by relaunching his long-standing signature basketball line. After introducing the Kobe 8 Protro “ Halo Triple White ” in August ‘23, the Oregon-based sportswear powerhouse unveils more Nike Kobe Protro models packed with storytelling. This Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Black Mamba” mimics its titular serpent with an all-black base enhanced by scaly textures to channel your inner “Black Mamba” mentality on and off the court.
Debuting back in 2019, marking a new era for the Swoosh brand as it revisits past signature Kobe models with upgraded features. This “Black Mamba” colourway is an ode to the Los Angeles Lakers, joining Nike Kobe signature models like the Kobe 6, 8, and 11, which came out in similar black and gold themes in the past. The shoe has a black nubuck leather base with snake-inspired scales covering the toe, forefoot, Swoosh, and collar. Dark shades envelop the entirety of the shoe, including the embossed Kobe sheath logo on the tongue, the debossed "24" on the heel, and the rubber sole. A bright yellow hue adorns Kobe’s printed signature on the glossy heel counter as a finishing touch.
