Once a player-exclusive, the Nike LeBron 9 Watch The Throne is now up for grabs to the public. This ornate iteration of the Nike LeBron 9 silhouette takes inspiration from the equally opulent cover of Ye and JAY-Z’s iconic 2011 album of the same name. Nods to the album’s art designed by Givenchy’s ex-creative director Riccardo Tisci can be spotted all over the shoe — from the gold Swooshes to the striking lace dubrae that resembles the cover art of “Watch the Throne”.

In contrast, the upper’s carbon fibre and leather base sport an understated black hue. Elsewhere, the pops of colour continue in the tropical-themed laces and sock liner. Nike LeBron 9 Watch The Throne closes with a speckled midsole paired with an exposed Air Max unit above an icy blue outsole.
