More colourways of the latest Nike SB signature shoe emerge to celebrate its debut. American professional skateboarder Leo Baker joined the Nike SB roster in 2017 and used it as a platform for diversity and inclusion. Six years later, Baker received their first signature shoe inspired by their favourite Nike SB sneaker. This Nike SB React Leo “Cacao Wow” combines skate shoe elements with a colourway suitable for streetwear.
In the past five years, the Nike SB sub-label launched signature silhouettes to Shane O’Neill, Nyjah Huston, Ishod Wair, and now Leo Baker. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, Leo Baker proudly represents the community as Nike unveiled their signature skate shoe. The Nike SB React Leo Baker draws design elements from the SB Bruin High. It features a variety of upper materials; leather makes up the perforated vamp, while suede covers the toe, eyestay, and heel. Canvas fabrics comprise the quarter panel and the collar. A React sockliner hides inside the shoe and delivers optimal cushioning for skaters. The reliable full-length herringbone traction pattern finishes the design.
This colourway features a predominantly brown upper construction with black accents on the Swoosh, laces, and tongue lining. Speckles on the rubber midsole add more details to this neutral-coloured rendition. Leo Baker's signature branding adorns the tongue and sockliner to cap off the makeover.
