There's no doubt in anyone's mind that Virgil Abloh has completely transformed the sneaker and streetwear landscape for good. Along the way, he's acquired a few copycats who have tried to replicate the success of his Off-White brand, and one of them is the upcoming Nike React Live.
Unveiled here by sneaker insider @yankeekicks, the React Live is crafted from a semi-translucent soft yellow material with blue and orange accents featuring throughout for a pop of contrast. A unique lacing system starts from the heel tab and follows through towards the front for a sleek and streamlined look, and down below, you'll find an icy blue Nike React foam midsole that's as comfortable as it gets.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning all the Off-White x Nike inspired branding that can be found throughout. From verbiage along the medials to measurements and annotations, this also seems to pay homage to the Beaverton brand's "Schematic" line which encompassed the Air Max 1 and the React Element 55.
No release date has been announced for the Nike React Live just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as news develops. Let us know what you think of this idea, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at 2021's Off-White x Air Jordan 4 "Bred"!
