Nike TN Air Max Plus Icons Black Scream Green

Included in the Icons Capsule is none other than the TN Air Max Plus, putting its own spin on the “Scream Green” colour palette. The colourway that the capsule is based on was debuted on the Nike Air Huarache in 1991, seeing three different retros since, the 2021 “Scream Green” edition being the most recent. Now, the combination of hues makes its way onto the Nike TN, another silhouette with a large fanbase of both serious and casual sneakerheads.

Although it may not be obvious at first, the “Scream Green” colour palette is in fact present on this edition of the Air Max Plus. Focusing on the darker elements, a dark blue has been chosen for the gradient on the upper, with green accents on the mini Swoosh and lace loops. This is almost the inverse of the original Huarache colourway, which used a predominantly white leather construction and minimal black features, a classic look for the ‘90s era of running shoes. On the other hand, this Icons edition seldom uses white, and can only be seen on the centre portion of the midsole. Nike has even updated the hexagonal logo on the heel with a scream green finish, an interesting touch that cements the concept behind this edition of the TN Air Max Plus.
