Nike TN Air Max Plus Napoli

Nike drops another city edition of its Tn with this beautiful “Napoli” colourway. Looking once again to Europe, the Swoosh moves its eye over to the Italian coast for inspiration. Home to the Blues or ‘Gli Azzurri’ depending on if you’re a native, between the team’s crest and sea, there’s no hiding what influences lie on this Napoli Tn.

The upper’s mesh is coated in light blue, with blue and yellow square dots crawling up the sidewall like a digital camouflage instead of the usual fade. Black accents across the mudguard, laces and heel break up the lighter palette as it does on the midsole, a subtle gold Air unit tucked inside. Unlike the rest of the shoe, the hexagonal Tn logo on the tongue is split into yellow and burgundy, with the lace tips to match.

On the inside of the tongue lies another direct nod to the city, reading “Napoli” in a silver-outlined font. Similar to the “Marseille” edition with its Cote Of Arms, this version boasts a historic reference on the upper, reading “vir napule e po muore” on the heel which translates to “see Naples and then die”.
