Reissued as an ode to the running boom of the ‘70s, the Nike LD-1000 SP emerges in a clean “Gold Sail Sesame”. Engineered for long-distance runs, this archival trainer incorporates a light gold mesh upper with sesame tones encompassing the hairy suede overlays on the toe, eyestay, and lower rear portions. Sail leather Swooshes bolster the sidewalls, whilst vintage Nike labels adorn the nylon tongue and leather back tabs. The midsole utilises a lightweight foam and a dramatically flared heel for a plush, stable ride. Below, a blacked-out waffle sole embraces the silhouette’s old-school aesthetic, nodding to the innovative traction pattern invented by brand co-founder Bill Bowerman.
