As far as collaborations go, this could be one of the biggest for 2016. Expected to launch on Thursday 21st July, the Kim Jones x Nike Air Zoom LWP Black arrives for the summer 2016 collection. Two other colourways will join this pair including a Pink themed rendition and Volt. Clearly this design opts for the sleekest of the three. Given the popularity of dark colourways, we’re anticipating major hyper for this shoe.
For those unaware, the man behind this collaboration is the creative director of high end designer brand, Louis Vuitton. Although we’ve seen minor Kim Jones Nike collabs in the past, this latest one marks a full transition to streetwear and sports style. That said, Jones has managed to impart some catwalk glamour onto an already impressive silhouette.
Dressed from heel to toe in black, this Air Zoom features an extended upper which sits higher on the ankle. Other stand-out elements include the Hyperfused overlays which add some sheen when hit with direct light. A soft mesh on the upper contours the foot, delivering comfort and lightweight protection. Finally, a white Air Zoom midsole offers that springy cushioning underfoot.
