It may have an unusual name, but the Reebok x Kendrick Lamar Classic Split Personality Pack has to be taken seriously. After all, the California-based rapper doesn’t hold back on his sneaker collaborations. With a long standing relationship with Reebok, many of his exclusive releases sold out within minutes and are near impossible to get hold of.
That being said, this latest design is expected to have the same fate. As a homage to unity and peace, Kendrick Lamar has used his own experience growing up on the streets of Compton, LA as the inspiration. In a district ravaged by gang brutality, this sneak sets to banish all this hatred. One pair features blue detailing to represent the Crips while the other showcases touches of red which symbolise the Bloods. Bringing both together in one design, this is Lamar’s way of encouraging an end to this gang mentality.
Elsewhere the iconic design of the Reebok Classic is made even more impressive given the stitched detailing across the entire upper. Soft suede is utilised for comfort and luxury, while OG branding is stamped throughout.
The Reebok x Kendrick Lamar Classic Split Personality Pack is scheduled to release on Thursday 30th June via the retailers on the right hand side.
