Japanese streetwear pioneer A BATHING APE is set to team up with California footwear legend Vans, where the duo will work on a number of silhouettes that will be made available for customisation. The pack will celebrate the 10th anniversary of BAPE’s store in China, with all models limited to a small production run.
Pairs such as the Old-Skool, Era, Authentic and the Sk8-Hi will be offered up in various colour palettes, showcasing BAPE’s signature ape-head camouflage patterns for an instantly-recognisable look.
All pairs will be crafted from Vans’ signature durable canvas fabric making them more than suitable for everyday wear and even capable of dealing with skateboarding. White laces finish the look on each pair, with classic logo tabs apparent for a subtle touch of branding.
Of course, like any release that enlists the help of A BATHING APE, these will be somewhat limited, with release only taking place in China. Participants will be able to enter a raffle to be in with a chance of getting their hands on a pair.
The BAPE x Vans Customs Collection is set to launch in China on the 15th December, although if you’re based elsewhere in the world these will be rather difficult to get hold of!
