The Air Jordan 5 "Jade Horizon" has been on our sneaker radar for over eleven months now, and while its release date continues to face delay after delay, while we wait for them to finally launch we're getting up close and personal with the hotly anticipated sneaker. While there are a few subtle tweaks here and there compared to the initial mock-up, we have to admin, we like the retail pair a lot more.
Featuring a full leather construction that looks insanely premium, this Air Jordan 5 is painted in a light green hue while soft yellow accents make their way to the eyelets and toggle switch for a very subtle pop of contrast. An off-white accent descends upon the chunky tongue and sock-liner, and the heel is finely embroidered with the iconic Jumpman logo.
Shifting your focus down below you'll find a blacked out Nike Air midsole. A speckled pattern is applied to the flame-inspired details on the lateral side, which are actually inspired by the P-51 fighter jet. To round it all off, a complementary rubber outsole features for a vintage vibe that is sure to turn heads wherever you go, finalising the design.
Originally supposed to launch as part of Jordan Brand's Holiday 2021 offering, the Nike Air Jordan 5 "Jade Horizon" was then scheduled for a November 27th drop, only to be delayed until February 2022. Let us know what you think of this upcoming AJ5 release, and while you're here, you might as well take a sneak peek at the CLOT x Air Jordan 5 Low!
