A Closer Look At The COMME des GARÇONS x Air Jordan 1

A few days ago, we got a first look at the upcoming COMME des Garcons x Air Jordan 1, and now, we're taking a much closer look at the high end basketball shoes! Oozing with Buscemi, Givenchy, and Giuseppe Zanotti vibes, these were unveiled during Rei Kawakubo's Fall/Winter 2019 runway showcase at Paris Fashion Week.

Building on the iconic Air Jordan 1 Retro High, the basketball sneaker has been completely reworked, giving it a motorcycle boot aesthetic complete with silver studs, an exaggerated ankle strap, and an extended tongue height that fits the punk aesthetic purveyed by the collection.

While it's not clearer whether or not these will get a public release, it's safe to say that they are indeed showstoppers.
