After announcing plans to scrap all YEEZY releases for the rest of 2023/24 back in October, it seems like adidas has done a very quick 180 on its decision. In an official report, the 3-Stripe brand has just confirmed it will, in fact, sell YEEZY footwear this year.
Despite flirting with the idea of destroying €300 million worth of stock in November, adidas has now made plans to continue sales throughout the rest of this year. While the stock itself has an average analyst estimate of €1.27 billion, adidas has said that it only expects to generate an operating profit of around €500 million from the sales.
The sale of YEEZY's products somewhat saved adidas' Q4 period last year, after operating profit reached €268 million for the 2023 financial year, against market estimates of a loss of €100 million. Sure, this is significantly down from 2022’s €669 million, but given all that's happened, we'd argue it's not exactly bad going.
As for what adidas / YEEZY has in store for 2024, X user @gunnertierno apparently has the answers. In a post from yesterday, we see a number of Slides, Foam Runners, 350 V2s, 500s and even boots. With that said, it remains to be seen if this is accurate. See the X post below for yourself, and while you're here, check out our rundown on the new Nike Air Max Dn.
