The difference between the Air Jordan 1 Low, Mid and High basically depends on the cut of the sneaker. The normal Air Jordan 1 High will have 9 lace holes, whereas the Mid only has 8. Let’s kick things off with the Air Jordan 1 High, shall we? Simply put, the AJ1 High fits true to size, so you can take your usual size in the high-cut Air Jordan 1.

Bear in mind that some AJ1 colourways are also available in Grade School sizing. If you’re lucky enough to fit into these (usually a UK 6 or below) then you’ll probably want to go a half size up as the fit is quite narrow.

You should be fine to take your normal size in the AJ1 Mid, if you’re buying an adult pair. These days though, it’s much more common to find Mids in GS sizing, so remember to go half a size up in these.

Most people tend to find that the Air Jordan 1 Low fits a little bigger than the AJ1 Mid or High. You may want to go half a size down in the Jordan 1 Low in order to get the perfect fit.

Given that the shoe is nearly 40 years old, it might not come as much of a surprise to say that the Air Jordan 1 isn’t the comfiest sneaker style in the world, but we wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s uncomfortable either. Nike’s Air cushioning has done a pretty good job of standing the test of time, but there are certainly more comfortable options on the market these days, including the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT, which features added cushioning for an even more comfy fit.

Thanks to its classic appearance, the Air Jordan 1 is relatively easy to style - it’s pretty much a statement in itself. Given its high cut, we’d advise staying away from anything slim-fitted like skinny jeans, and instead, opt for tapered trousers or cargo pants. They also look great with a wider-fitting pair of trousers or jeans, just let them peek through from underneath for an IYKYK look.
