Taking to Instagram to speak on the collab, Aminé said: "I was obsessed with trying to become a sneaker designer at some point but didn't think it was possible 'til I met Louis . I've wanted to do this for so long but hip-hop found me at the right time in my life. I've learned to accept and see the beauty in everything you've been given. There's not a lot of people where I'm from that have had a chance to do this and I want to make sure I'm not the last."
Working on top of New Balance's techy trail running 610 silhouette, the sneaker takes on a bold yellow mesh base, while brown overlays work their way across the uppers in line with the artist's banana-themed motif. The banana detailing can also be seen floating in the snowglobe style window just underneath the ankle, while iridescent green panels touch base on the toes, midfoot and heels. Sat atop a brown sole, the sneakers won't be for everyone, but we have to admire the commitment to detail.
Right now, there's no release date for the Aminé x New Balance 610, but in the meantime, stay locked to The Sole Supplier for all the latest sneaker news and releases.
Up next, the Crocs Pollex Clog appears in "Slime".
