Aminé x New Balance 610 The Mooz

New Balance didn’t want to miss out on the gorpcore fashion trend and brought the New Balance 610 back in rotation. This new collaboration with American rapper, singer, and songwriter Aminé marks his first New Balance sneaker since joining the brand ambassador roster in April 2022. He previously appeared in several New Balance ad campaigns beforehand. This Aminé x New Balance 610 “The Mooz” pays homage to his Club Banana label and flaunts banana-inspired details.

The New Balance 610 returned to the market in late 2022 with a Japan-exclusive release to celebrate its 10th anniversary. In 2023, the shoe is everywhere, getting collaborative treatments from Joe Freshgoods and Bodega. This silhouette came out in 2012 as an off-road running shoe, often constructed in breathable, lightweight mesh with textile overlays and external laces around the collar. New Balance subtlety revamped the NB 610 with more lifestyle aesthetics in mind and updated the cushioning with ABZORB. The aggressive rugged outsole uses N-DURANCE technology to ensure consistent grip and superior durability anywhere you go. The New Balance 610’s rising popularity in streetwear sets up more future collaborations with more powerhouse brands.

This rendition features a yellow mesh base with brown patent leather overlays and shiny holographic designs on the forefoot and rear side panels. “N” logos on the sides come in brown with yellow outlines. The “610” label on the lateral side is filled with water to create a snowglobe banana detail. Toggle laces come in two-tone accents of yellow and black to complement the rest of the upper. Co-branded labels adorn the rubber tongue tag with a large banana graphic. The black and yellow rubber sole completes the banana-inspired makeover.
