An Official Look at the Nike Spark Flyknit "Mushroom"

First unveiled via a series of leaked images last month, Nike’s latest sneaker the Spark Flyknit has now been officially unveiled with a brand-new colourway, the Nike Spark Flyknit “Mushroom”. Showcasing a knitted upper and a futuristic look all round, it’s unclear just yet whether these will be aimed directly at the running market or will head for a more lifestyle-oriented approach.

The fresh colourway seen here showcases a relatively muted look, with the uppers taking on a natural hue while black and grey details create a sense of depth and complete the look. Branding is kept relatively low-key across this pair, with Nike’s signature Swoosh logo featured on the midsole in silver, embroidered onto the toe box and hidden behind a Flyknit panel on the upper.

Optimised to be as lightweight as possible, the kicks also feature pull tabs at the heels and a slimline lacing system in order to keep them securely on feet. A colour-matched midsole seals the deal, although at the present moment it’s unclear what cushioning technology is concealed within.
