After getting a sneak peek last week, we're now taking an on foot look at the upcoming Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React "Cactus Jack", and we have to admit, it looks so much better on than off. Set to be La Flame's next collaboration with the Swoosh, rumours of this shoe first made rounds all the way back in summer, but it's definitely not what we expected it to look like.
Like a hybrid between the Zoom 2K and the Air Max 270 React, the first thing that you'll notice about this collab is the ultra unique upper. Gone is the streamlined no-sew look of the GR version, and in its place is a wavy design that's dipped in a clean beige hue. This is contrasted by earthy brown suede panels at the toe box and ankle, as well as red and blue accents across the lacing system, resulting in an aesthetic that is sure to turn heads.
Down below, a bold orange midsole is present with React at the forefoot and Air at the heel. This is lined with a slither of white rubber on the outsole, providing durable traction with every step. To round it all off, the American rapper's signature "CACTUS JACK" cross motif forms the back pull tab, finalising the extraordinary design.
In terms of a release date, nothing is set in stone just yet, but our sources tell us that the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 270 React "Cactus Jack" will be dropping sometime in March of next year. Let us know what you think of this shoe, and while you're here, check out these remarkable React sneakers at Nike's Boxing Day sale!
