Anime Readers Will love This Vans x Size? Collab

Two creative superpowers have come together in a collaboration to release an anime-inspired sneaker that nods back to the 1960s, which were creative starting points for anime and the Vans brand. Using the Vans Highland silhouette as a base, Size? is bestowing the Californian skate brand's Highland silhouette with a colourful, nostalgic design, called 'Yukiko'.

Yukiko –  ゆきこ in Japanese – is a popular girl's name in Japan and translates to 'Happy Child' in English. The bold vibrant hues of the sneaker reference the bright colours often used in Cosplay by anime and manga fans.

The Vans Highland Yukiko is a low profile skate shoe, arriving in a navy suede with contrasting white stitch detailing. The dark blue is contrasted sharply with a bold vibrant hot pink on the leather side stripe and the textile poking out at the collar. The rubber outsole underfoot also sports a head-turning neon pink hue which can be seen from a profile view, so you're sure to brighten up any fit with this.

The usual Vans branding also features, with the 'Off The Wall' skateboard tongue label – sitting on a premium cushioned exposed tongue – an UltraCush drop-in sockliner for enhanced support, with perforations across the upper for ventilation.
