After what can only be described as a turbulent year, Kanye West (now Ye) has kept himself pretty quiet over the past few months. Having ended contracts with both adidas and Balenciaga during the latter half of 2022, Ye’s Yeezy label has been nowhere to be seen, and now sneakerheads have been quick to spot that the Yeezy Supply website is no longer.
Those who have been curious enough to pay the site a visit will have noticed that the URL no longer directs to a functioning page, and instead presents users with an error message. Of course, adidas terminated its contract with Ye back in October 2022, so the fact that the joint channel no longer exists shouldn’t really come as no surprise to anyone, and its non-existence doesn’t mean that Ye won’t be able to release his own Yeezy-branded goods later down the line.
And, in case you needed a quick reminder, that doesn’t mean that adidas is planning to stop selling Yeezy styles either. The 3-Stripes said last year that it still retained the rights to most Yeezy designs and was planning on dropping the styles without any Yeezy branding. Early rumours suggested that these could drop as early as January, but right now they’re still set to see the light of day - so right now it seems only time will tell.
What do you think of the move? Will you be buying unbranded Yeezys? Are you still waiting for Ye to go his own way? Keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for all the latest Yeezy updates, and in the meantime check out this upcoming adidas collab with Mr.Bailey .
