Cardboard Vibes Hit The Nike Air Max 97 'Shipping Box'

There is no denying that the Nike Air Max 97 is one of the biggest hitters that the Swoosh have at their disposal. With it's full-length Air Unit and waved upper, this shoe is synonymous with streetwear culture and fashion. Now this icon of the sneaker community has been adorned with a very familiar colourway.

The brand new 'Shipping Box' iteration has clear inspirations from Nike's own cardboard boxes. Coming with a tonal brown upper, this shoe is then contrasted by the white midsole and icy sole. What makes this shoe exceptional is the tiny details.

Starting from the bottom, the iced sole reveals a barcode and 'Thanks for your Order' printed on respective shoes. Moving onto the upper, the sneaker is constructed from treated suedes and leather to give a rougher, cardboard-like texture to them. Rounded off with a grippy tongue tab, which is striped to bring connotations of the tape used on each Nike parcel.

Coming in at £145, the Nike Air Max 97 'Shipping Box' is available now.
