Cookie Monster Vibes Feature on the AMBUSH x Converse Chuck 70
Every once in a while a sneaker collaboration comes along that makes us question our very existence, and the upcoming AMBUSH x Converse Chuck 70 "Furry" Collection is one of them. Unveiled today by the Tokyo-based imprint, Yoon Ahn's next Con project is unlike anything we've seen before, and to be honest, we're not sure we want to see them ever again.
Coming in two unique colourways including a blue pair and a black pair, both Chuck 70s drop the usual canvas construction in favour of an insanely furry upper that bears a striking resemblance to the Cookie Monster. Hairy detailing extends all the way to the toe cap and the "All Star" emblem that usually features along the side panels of the shoe.
Rope laces tie everything together, and just behind the vulcanised midsole you'll find the classic license plate branding that reads "Converse" and "Ambush" in bold all caps, finalising the insane design.
Expected to launch at the end of November, we're not entirely sure who the AMBUSH x Converse Chuck 70 is made for, but they'll be heading to Sesame Street sometime soon. Let us know what you think of this crazy collab, and in related news, the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High finally has a release date!
