Updated 11/5/23 - Salehe Bembury has confirmed a release date for the "Citrus Milk" Crocs Pollex Slide. The colourway will be releasing on the 25th of May via the designer's Spunge website. The pair will likely see a wider release at Crocs and other retailers, but a date for this is yet to be confirmed. Original Article - Salehe Bembury’s Pollex Clog is a shoe that’s had sneakerheads talking over the past year or so - namely because it played a big part in making Crocs cool again. The decision to tap the designer (who’d previously worked with the likes of Versace, Yeezy and New Balance) proved a step in the right direction for the clogs brand, which was looking to move away from the classic Clog shape and towards something that would appeal to more of a streetwear-forward crowd.
Now, after the success of the clog version, Bembury is back with a more summery take on the shoe by turning it into a more traditional slide version. Here, the designer’s fingerprint motif finds its way onto the new model, resulting in a textured strap and sole. Crocs branding then hits the edges, reminding us that the brand can be considered cool, after all.
Take a first look at the pairs, so far revealed in “Citrus Milk” and “Pink Chrome” and expect new colourways to surface soon.
Up next, Aimé Leon Dore lends its hand to the New Balance 1906R.
