If you were into your sneakers back in 2015, then you’ll no doubt remember the Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” very well. One of the first 350s ever released, the pair later saw a restock in 2016 before disappearing into the Yeezy archives whilst the V2 took centre stage. Back in the day, the pair saw resale prices of over £1000, but it’s good news for anyone who never managed cop a pair back then, as they could be seeing a rerelease in the near future.
With rumours of a Yeezy 350 “Turtle Dove” rerelease also on the horizon, it does seem like team Yeezy are set to take a trip down memory lane. Like the “Turtle Dove,” the “Pirate Black” Yeezy 350 is expected to follow the same design as the original pair, with a black and grey pattered Primeknit making up the sock-like upper. This gives way to a seamlessly integrated lacing system and round laces, whilst a black pull tab with red stitching helps to ease the shoe on and off.
Underfoot, the “Pirate Black” Yeezy 350 sports a solid black midsole that comes wrapped around the shoe’s adidas Boost technology – the same tech the V2 uses today, because why fix what isn’t broken?
Rumour has it that the “Pirate Black” Yeezy 350 V1 could see a restock in 2023, but with the “Turtle Dove” rumoured to drop much sooner, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for them to land much sooner. Until then, hit the links to get notified and keep it locked for more info and images of the 2022 pair as they come in.
Up next, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid has a release date.
