With all these pastel sneakers popping up in time for spring and summer, we never expected grey to be the colour of the season, but it looks like that’s the case over at Yeezy. Following on from an “Onyx” iteration of the Foam Runner and a similarly toned “Cinder” 450, the Yeezy 500 “Granite” has now appeared in a tonal grey-brown colourway, so let’s take a closer look.
Now this isn’t the first time Ye’s 500 silhouette has sported a greyed-out hue, but the “Granite” 500 looks to be darker than the “Ash Grey” pair that dropped last year. In terms of construction, the “Granite” Yeezy 500 follows the usual format, with a tonal brown and grey mix of soft suede, leather and engineered mesh dressing the upper. Underfoot, the 500’s signature bubble-shaped adiPRENE adds the level of comfort we’ve all come to expect from Yeezy, whilst also acknowledging adidas’ part of the partnership through subtle branding hints too. The “Granite” 500s come finished with matching tonal laces, and a reflective trim allows you to flex them even in low-light conditions, making them the perfect transitional pair for later in the year, too.
The “Granite” adidas Yeezy 500 is set to drop on May 14th, so head over to the adidas CONFIRMED app to get your raffle entry in now!
Up next, the Yeezy Boost 700 appears in "Hi-Res Red."
